The Steussy-Skinner House, located at 510 W 17th Street, is a designated historic landmark in Austin. It was granted historic zoning in 1994. In 2019, there was a proposal to remove the historic zoning from a portion of the original tract (510 W 17th Street), which was a commercial building (~1951) and later a condominium unit, as it was incorrectly included in the original historic zoning and had no historical connection to the Steussy-Skinner House. The Steussy-Skinner House itself was to retain its historic designation.
