Dignan - Mickey House
Constructed: 1910
Address: 1504 West Avenue
This late Victorian frame house with a wrap-around porch was built circa 1889 for Effie W. Dignan, widow of J.F. Dignan and daughter of Frank Brown, from whom she purchased the land. Effie lived in the home with her sister and brother-in-law, Henry Hutchings, before they built a house next door. The property originally belonged to Charles L. Mann in 1850 and changed hands several times before Frank Brown acquired it in 1870. Effie and her father sold the property in 1900 to Louisa Caswell, who then sold it in 1908.
