Nagle - Harrington House
Constructed: 1910
Address: 1615 Pearl Street
The James C. Nagle House, built in 1914 at what was originally 1607 Pearl, was the residence of Emily and James Nagle, then chairman of the State Board of Water Engineering and later president of the Panama Pacific Products Company. By 1918, the home was occupied by Cordelia and John W. Scarbrough, of the Scarbrough department store family, who remained until 1920. Real estate agent K.C. Miller bought the house in 1924 and rented it to various tenants. From at least 1935 to 1949, Zula and G.H. Harrington lived there, with Harrington adding a bedroom and bath to the downstairs porch before his death in 1947.
